Recently, lots of gossips have been going around regarding the land encroachment of Nepal by neighboring country India. The dispute started when Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted online about the inauguration of new road from Darchula to Lipulekh in order to reduce the time taken for Kailash Mansoravar heritage. The dispute broke online through Twitter replying back to the tweet of the minister which later spreaded to other social medias as well. Since childhood, we have been hearing and know for a fact that Lipulekh belongs to Nepal. Sadly,we never got to see map of Nepal including Lipulekh until now. The map of Nepal that we have been studying until now is shown below:
Map of India has been showing these Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura in their Map since long time though Nepal Government insists it as a violation of the 1816 Treaty of Sugauli. “Nepal Government to officially release it’s New Geographical Map of Nepal. It will be tele-casted live on Nepal Television at 2:15 PM.”, says Routine of Nepal Banda.
Minister of Land Management “Padma Aryal”,stated that the Map of Nepal has been updated and will be released publicly today.
